Rod-Tastic Adventures with Brock: Turning Storybooks into Puppet Shows!

Brock is back, and this time he’s teaming up with AnneMarie to share the art of storytelling through recycled rod puppets! Using a unique blend of repurposed materials and creative craftsmanship, Brock demonstrates how puppets can bring a book’s characters to life, transforming simple stories into engaging performances.

With AnneMarie’s guidance, the audience will learn the basics of storytelling with puppetry—how movement, voice, and staging can make a story jump from the page to the stage. They will showcase techniques for crafting expressive puppet actions, creating engaging scenes, and ensuring each character has personality—all using an eco-friendly approach.

Whether it’s reimagining old puppets or crafting new ones from repurposed items, this presentation will be entertaining and educational, proving that storytelling is as much about creativity as it is about performance. Join Brock and AnneMarie as they invite everyone to explore how a few well-placed rods, a dash of imagination, and a great story, anyone can create a theatrical puppet experience!
